Moodboard + Research

The project was to create a 30 to 50 second promotional animation for a Stanely Kubrick exhibition at the London Design Museum.

The brief required a Motion Design piece which referenced Stanley Kubrick’s films and promoted the exhibition.

Storyboarding

I decided I wanted to create the animation in an illustrative, 3D style and therefore drew the storyboard with this in mind. The idea of the animation was to reference Kubrick films in multiple set pieces.

Animation

I build most of the assets in 3D and some 2D assets in Illustrator before animating everything in Cinema 4D. I then brought everything into After Effects for compositing.
