The Tokyo 2020 Olympics project was the last during my year at the National Film and Television School. The brief required a minute long title sequence for the BBC’s coverage of the events. After having visited a Manga exhibition at the British Museum I decided to create a piece mixing 2D and 3D with an anime aesthetic. This was mostly achieved using toon effects with a high contrast black and white palette.
